Hamartia live at the Hanover House

This band was so good, members went on to be in BTBAM, With Honor, and Bury Your Dead.
I'll be posting their full length ''To Play The Part'' in the very near future. Another EXTREMELY under rated band.

Aria

I know that I never update this blog anymore and it's been quite a long time since my last post. But I swear I will start updating this at least once a week.

Anyway, now onto my next post on here...
Aria from North Carolina, this band was around from 2001-2004 I might be wrong though. I got the pleasure of seeing them once as well as Saved By Grace and Rifles At Recess(Posted earlier on the blog check it out!) at the same show back in 2003. Now of course I was just lucky enough to stumble into the venue and had no clue who they were being 13 at the time but Aria and RAR blew me away that night with their technicality and energy.
They released one full length on Tribunal Records called ''As If Forever Really Exists'' and a demo. The band featured Paul Genet from the legendary Azazel on vocals and other members of some other awesome NC bands as well. The recording quality of AIFRE is super polished and good for an early 2000 metalcore release, the drums almost sound like a drum machine in my opinion. But the whole record is solid and it's definitely under rated, Tribunal put out so many good releases that no one talks about anymore.
My favorite song off the record is ''My Genesis, My Judas'' check the whole record out here:

I'll be posting the demo later. Seriously give this record a listen, I will also be posting some Azazel very soon so be on the lookout for that!

Love's Despair

Okay so I used to have this demo a long ass time ago on my Gateway desktop that is long gone, I downloaded it from some dude on instrife(blast from the past!) and I remember falling in love with this fucking band. About a year later my computer crashed and I never could find this demo and forgot about this band for YEARS. Well now thanks to my buddy Aaron for helping me Rediscover Soulseek I have found this and a TON of other jewels.
How can I describe this band and the only five songs they put out? Melodic as fuck metalcore from Milwaukee, WI(nuff said) I mean seriously that scene back in the day RULED with 7A7P, Endthisday, Coma Eternal, Wings Of Scarlet Amora Savant(a little later), A Shroud Cast Over(I think?) all coming out of there! This band's music was insanely passionate sounding and the demo really hits you right in the gut with that early 2000 rough demo quality. I think the roughness of some band's recordings really added to the emotion back then, just my opinion.

Anyway, here is the five songs this band put out.
